The Trump administration is considering a land exchange involving a strip of Yosemite National Park that could give a private developer road access from property in Stanislaus National Forest to Yosemite's Big Oak Flat Road. The National Park Service is reportedly exploring an exchange because it lacks authority to directly grant the requested interest in park land. No final decision has been made, and California Sens. Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff are seeking to block the proposal.
